The Millikan M.10 Pro is a 9.98-metre solar-electric catamaran built in France, carrying up to twelve passengers with one cabin on a 3.4-metre beam. A 40 kW motor and 41 kWh battery, supplemented by solar generation, give a published top speed of 12 knots. It won a Gussies Electric Boat Award in 2025 and the Cannes Innovation Route in 2025, and was a Motor Boat of the Year 2026 finalist.

What a buyer should know

Built for a specific commercial job

Twelve passengers on the M.10 Pro's ten-metre catamaran hull, one cabin, solar generation and 12 knots is not a private owner's specification — it is a day-charter and excursion specification. Millikan makes the intent explicit by pitching the boat at marine protected areas that exclude combustion craft, which is a real and growing commercial niche around the Mediterranean and the French coast. If you run wildlife tours, snorkelling trips or eco-excursions in a restricted zone, this boat can access water your competitors cannot.

What the numbers mean

41 kWh is modest for a ten-metre hull, but a catamaran at 12 knots on 40 kW is an efficient package, and the solar array is doing genuine work rather than decorating the coachroof — on a day-tripping duty cycle with time alongside between runs, the arithmetic is plausible. The 2,900 kg weight is light for the length, which is where that efficiency comes from.

The caveat that matters

Millikan's own pages conflict on range: one states over 100 nautical miles, another 80 nautical miles at 8 knots. We have recorded neither. For a commercial operator, range per charge is the number the business case rests on, so get it confirmed in writing against a stated speed and passenger load before ordering. The award record is unusually strong and independently earned.

Written from the builder’s published specifications and the wider market, not from testing the boat ourselves. Always confirm figures with the manufacturer before committing.
